Risecap is just the beginning…

This is the community space for Risecap, where we seek to create a more authentic expression.

For those of you who don’t know, I am Anthony (Tony) Jaiyeola and I’m the founder and director of Risecap.

I wanted to give you an idea of who I am and why Risecap exists. 

For a large part of my life I was a follower. I believed that in order to fit in I had to be like everyone else, perhaps due to being raised in a rule based religious family where following was appluaded. But as I watched those around me struggle just as much as the people who were speaking their authentic voice something began to tug at me. 

It was not a single “ta-da moment” but it was a gradual series of events that led me to know that there is something more for me than just being another follower. 

A number of people and moments have been inspirational in my believing that a career path in finance could be personal and intimate but nothing has been more instrumental than the recent birth of my son. Upon Ovie’s arrival in June I started to reflect about the lack of financial education that was available to my parents and the things we lost simply because we didn’t know better. I thought about how I struggled to raise money for myself 8 years ago when I was starting small and I thought about how people who often have the most game changing ideas don’t normally get the financial partner they need so that they can do what is most important— create their vision. 

This is why Risecap exists. We believe life will come and do what it does, but that we as people who have accepted the charge to embody the impact we wish to see in the world will be ready and we will Rise! Because Risecap is all about beating the odds and figuring out how we rise to the next level. 

So as we build a community based in financial education, aspiration, freedom and relationships I hope you will come along side us.
